Alpha Sigma Mu advisor Hal Brody and president Vinnie Palumbo recognized the 2010 class of inductees into the international professional honor society for Materials Science and Engineering's on April 13, 2010 at the ASM Hartford Chapter Meeting. From the left are Girija Marathe, Clayton Weiss, Fei Peng, Thomas Sadowski, Xufei Wan, Harold Brody, Christian Sartori, Ryan Keech, Michael Zilm and Kathryn Czaja. Not present were inductees Adam  Dew, Michael Harris, Jeffrey Riesterer, Luke Autry and Jon Winterstein.
At Student Night on April 13, 2010, ASM Hartford Chapter members heard five research presentations from University of Connecticut Material Science and Engineering Graduate students. From Left to right are Paresh Shimpi, Yang Zhong, Dharma Maddala (1st place), Zengmin Xia, Hartford Chapter Chair Sam Christy, Ghanshyam Pilania (2nd place) and UConn Material Advantage Chapter advisor Dr. Hebert Rainer.
