CHAIRMAN'S LETTER

Dear Members:

Thank you for another excellent attendance at the joint meeting with those Plastic Engineers to learn about Metal Injection Molding.

We don't know how to arrive at the reason(s) why you came out for the meeting. Subject, day of

Stu Weiss, D. J. Lauch, Ellen Bemben and John Chion at the January meeting.

the week, location? Please let us in on your reasons.

Plans for Materials Week in April are not firm as of 1/22/03. Basically, we wish to convince the future workforce to enter in the field of material science. A field day, probably April 11, at either UTC or UConn will follow a dinner meeting on April 10. A speaker form ASM International will address the membership regarding our roll to bring in young people to our profession. The Field Day will offer events to attract students, then tours of the labs to enlighten them. At least that is what we think. Do you have other suggestions, and will you help set them in place? Call Joe Zucco at (203) 250-6922.

Networking to help you succeed through ASM Hartford,
Stu Weiss
