congratulated for outstanding presentations. TMS awarded cash prizes and the ASM Hartford Chapter presented each of the presenters with certificates to attend a future AMS meeting as our guest. Due to the success of the competition, we plan to make it an annual event.

Mr. Mike Pasquariello, a student at UConn with a double major in Mechanical and Materials Science Engineering, was the recipient of our 1999-2000 $1000 Scholarship Award.

Help Wanted:

Assistant Metallurgist: RH Colt's Manufacturing Co. is seeking an individual to perform analysis on supplier submitted raw materials and to review certifications for compliance to company drawings and material specifications. This individual will assist in general laboratory operations including failure analysis, the evaluation of heat treating operations, and ensuring that testing is done according to appropriate standards. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Sciences or the equivalent experience and 2 - 4 years experience in a metal consuming plant. A working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, database and word processing software is critical.
