CHAIRMAN'S LETTER

Your attendance at the joint meeting with ASM-Southern CT was sorely missed. Only seven members were in the audience of thirty-three. Please contact a member of the executive committee regarding why you were unable to attend the meeting. We are here to be of service to your needs, but we have to know what you expect. Is it subject matter? Meeting date? Meeting place(s)? Let's hear from you!

Somehow, the paragraph reporting the September Golf Outing did not appear in the October Macrogram.

Ninety-two persons participated at the Blue Fox Run, many were golfers. But, I was ready to swing into the ball when the PA blasted "will the man on the first tee get off the women's tee." Upon re-addressing the ball, the message blasted again. I dropped my club, and stormed to the clubhouse, telling them to shut the hell up when I am trying to take my second shot.

It was a fun time for a good cause, the Scholarship Fund. The net result of the event was that the Scholarship Fund received $2000.00, which will be available for awards to High School seniors and College students in the Spring of 2003. Members are encouraged to contact John Crosby for applications.

Many thanks go to Betty & Gary Gatzen for their hard work in preparing signs and wrapping the many raffle prizes. Also, thanks to Amanda Sousa, Joe Kubinski, Frank Blanchard, and volunteers from W.H. Barton Company for On-Course activities.
