Letter from The
chairperson Dear Members: The new 2000-2001 ASM Hartford Chapter year has begun. We are looking forward to a very exciting year. We are planning some interesting speakers and events to bring more of our membership to the monthly meetings. In the past we have polled our membership to see what types of topics would be of interest and bring them to meetings. This is an election year and we will all be sick and tired of polls by November. We welcome your input during the course of the year to let us know what you want to see and hear. Please contact any board member to let us know what is important to you. It is my pleasure to welcome the Mott Corporation of Farmington to the ranks of Sustaining Member. The benefits of being a Sustaining Member are numerous. Contact Stu Weiss for information about how your company can become a Sustaining Member of the Hartford Chapter. The year already started out with our annual Golf Outing held on September 22. Thirty golfers enjoyed a beautiful day in the sun and a sumptuous dinner at the Timberlin Golf Course. Awarded prizes were the following: Longest drive Paul Allain; Closest to the pin Bob Eckard; Lowest net score Carl Sasso; and Lowest team net J. Kubinski, J. Rugh, C. Sasso, and P. Civello. Hope to see more of you for a great day of fun next year. Check out our Web Site at www.asm-hartford.org for the latest happenings. See you at the October meeting. With best regards, Harley Gaimes Executive Committee
