October 27, 2007 This year for the first time the UConn Material Advantage (UCMA) chapter invites you to join the student members at a joint ASM Hartford-UCMA tailgating party. Please join us on Saturday, October 27th, 2007 starting at noon at Rentschler’s Field in East Hartford, CT. The UConn Huskies football team will be playing the South Florida Bulls later in the afternoon and tickets are still available. Tickets can be bought online at http://uconn.edu/athletics/index.php (although the option for the South Florida game doesn't appear yet) or by contacting the UConn Athletic ticket office at 1-877-AT-UCONN (1-877-288-2666) or 860-486-2724.
Everyone is welcome to attend and those that do can choose to come to just the tailgating if they would prefer. I believe parking at the field is $12 for vehicles and $20 for a RV/bus. UCMA members will be tailgating together and just as soon as we know where in the parking lot this will be will forward on the information. UCMA will be providing beer and soda, you are asked to please bring a potluck item. This is a wonderful chance to meet this year’s promising set of students in a relaxed setting and support the UConn Huskies. This great pastime will be a fun, refreshing way to meet students you may never encounter otherwise.
