 MEETING  NOTICE

The Southern Connecticut Chapter of ASM International will hold its March technical dinner meeting Thursday, March 20, 2003.  At this meeting the Chapter is pleased to present one of its own distinguished members as the featured speaker, Dr. Arun Prasad, Sr. Vice President, Technology, for Pentron Laboratory Technologies, LLC, Wallingford, CT.   After his studies at Banaras Hindu University in India and Columbia University in NY, Arun received his doctorate in Physical Metallurgy from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.  Employed at Pentron for over 25 years, Dr. Prasad has been involved in supervising the R&D, quality assurance and all manufacturing of dental alloys, composites and impression materials.  He has 25 patents to his credit and has published and presented numerous papers covering all areas of dental materials.  Dr. Prasad's presentation will cover the importance of color, appearance and general properties of dental materials, a subject that certainly has personally affected everyone.   His extensive experience with the design, manufacture and application of dental materials will make his talk an enjoyable, interesting, and informative technical dinner presentation for members and guests of the Chapter.
