            The Southern Connecticut Chapter of ASM International has scheduled its October Technical Dinner meeting for October 21, 2004 at Rapp's Paradise Inn in Ansonia Connecticut.  The after - dinner presentation, "Environmentally Friendly Helicopter Design and Materials", will be delivered by Mr. Robert Araujo, Chemical Engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT.  Mr. Araujo will review the present state of helicopter design and materials with an emphasis on the materials of construction.  Further, the concerns about "green" or environmentally friendly materials will be reviewed with concerns about degradation and deterioration of these materials or recyclability once the equipment or structure is no longer useful.  The relevance of this topic and its connection to a prominent Connecticut manufacturer will make this meeting a fascinating and informative technical dinner presentation for ASM members and guests.
