TOPIC: New & Innovative Techniques in ICP Testing of Metal Alloys

This presentation will cover the various techniques presently available for metal analysis with emphasis on Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) Emission spectroscopy. The differences between other methods and ICP will be reviewed including different ICP techniques.

Additionally, the newly developed technique of Plasma Emission Spectroscopy will be discussed. This technique shows promise as a nondestructive technique of metal analysis. The sample material or product would be usable after analysis. Most techniques used presently require destruction of the sample for analysis.
