            The Southern Connecticut and the Hartford Chapters of ASM International are co-sponsoring the technical dinner meeting on April 21, 2005 as one of the featured events celebrating 2005 Materials Week in Connecticut. The after - dinner presentation, "The Current Competitiveness of Connecticut Manufacturers" will be delivered by Mr. Frank J. Johnson, President, Manufacturing Alliance of Connecticut, Inc. (MAC).  Frank helped found MAC with two member companies in 1992.  Currently located in Waterbury, MAC has over 300 members and staff of five, plus contract lobbyists and a General Counsel.  MAC also serves as the Governmental affairs entity that represents the Connecticut Tooling and Machining Association (CTMA) as well as the Connecticut Association of Metal Finishers (CAMF).  Frank is a registered lobbyist.  He speaks on behalf of Connecticut manufacturers and has been quoted in numerous prominent CT newspapers and other CT media outlets.  Frank's talk will involve the current competitiveness of Connecticut manufacturers and how we can improve ourselves to better compete in a global economy.

 

Mr. Johnson's enthusiasm and experience will make this meeting a fascinating and informative technical dinner presentation for ASM members and guests.
