Khuong Vu is one of 30 students throughout the United States who were selected by the ASM International Foundation to attend the first Materials Camp on August 8-13, 2000. Khuong was nominated by his teacher, Anne O'Neill, and his application was submitted by the Hartford Chapter.

 

2001 Materials Camp

Ying-Ju Chen
Glastonbury High School

Ying-Ju is one of 30 students throughout the United States who were selected by the ASM International Foundation to attend the Materials Camp West on July 30 - August 5, 2001 at the University of Washington in Seattle. Ying-Ju was nominated by his teacher, Anne O'Neill, and his application was submitted by the Hartford Chapter. Another 30 students will attend Materials Camp East in Materials Park, OH on August 13-19, 2001.

The ASM International Foundation sponsors six ASM student members each year to attend a leadership development program at the LeaderShape Institute. This six-day program, conducted each summer at the University of Illinois Conference Center at Allerton Park, is designed to help young people learn to "lead with integrity."
