ACTISTM, barrier performance for PET bottle
Quality beer As a natural product, beer is a sensitive beverage. The penetration of even the tiniest amount of oxygen (O2) into the package can change beers taste and aroma, and losses of carbon dioxide (CO2) affect its carbonation and foaming properties. Bearing in mind such particularities, there was gloom in brewery industry to use PET for packing beer although this product had been adopted for almost other beverage. Specifically developed for beer, ACTISTMcurbs these types of problems. ACTISTM extends the life of beer in PET bottles to at least 6 months, so that consumers always enjoy the quality they expect. All quality criteria combined, the quality of beer in
ACTISTM
treated PET is no different from the same beer packaged
in glass.
ACTIS gives PET bottles a previously missing advantage: a barrier layer to gases and various migrations. In the package, next to the beverage itself, is where ACTIS protects the drink the best. Therefore, the ACTIS™ process can be used with most carbonated and oxide-sensitive drinks. Please feel free to consult Owens-Brockway Plastic Containers. |
